While we are in there, the brush preview color is something else that can be changed when resizing a brush you see the red preview of the brush. The setting for these precision cursors is in the middle, shown here: We change these settings in the preferences. But I suggest you try this, I really do think you will find it to make more sense. As I mentioned before, this could be preference, and many (I would dare to say "most") people are so used to the default cursor that it may not bother them. When you compare that to the default cursors, I don't feel the default cursor is the best design.Ī crosshair seems much more logical to me. I really prefer the precise cursors, as when working very fast there's no question on the precise pixel you are clicking as it's in the form of a precision crosshair. We can figure out which tip is the right tip, however there's a better option: precise cursors. The cursor has two potential "tips" that could be the precise point of where you are clicking: the tip of the arrow and the tip of the actual paint coming out of the bucket. I find that to be not the most ideal, especially once you are used to the alternative. For example, the paint bucket tool is literally a cursor that's a picture of a paint bucket with a little arrow attached. They do not seem to be geared toward precision. The default cursors drive me absolutely crazy.
